Vintage Dressing gown Robe Peignoir Floral Lace & Ribbon Pink
This looks like it's a handmade piece, no factory
finishing or tags, but
very well done.
The very lightweight fabric, probably cotton, is lightly embroidered all over, and has satin ribbon ruching trim at bust and sleeves.
A step in or popover robe. The front is open down to mid thigh, and sewn with a closed hem.
No closure at the bow. might have been snap or hook, would need replacement.
Not sure of the date, could be 50's to 60's.
There is a lovely piece of handmade lace on the collar that seems older.
It's in good condition, no holes found, maybe very light fading on sides under arm.
One area of discoloration in the collar lace. Difficult to see.
It is very pretty and worthy of continued use or costume wardrobe.
