I start off with saying that I know very little about this item.
Found in an estate sale,
this item is OLD and in need of restoration.
I think this is called a Pudding Bowl or Basin Style
Metal Helmet. Not sure if it is for racing, motorcycles or Bicycles.
Metal shell that has been painted red at some time, has dents and scratches on it. Inside is what is left of the leather straps and the strapping across the top for the head. It may be missing the leather band around the edge. Condition is VERY VERY worn and I would think this is for restoration or just to sit on a shelf and enjoy.
Measures 9 inches across
