Adapter, Volvo Penta Drive Pulley, Additional Alternator Conversion Adapter

Stainless Steel Adapter, Volvo Penta Drive Pulley (as shown in photo 1 and 2). Condition is New.  The round adapter plate will allow for a Extra Pulley to be mounted to your engine crank pulley.  This adapter plate mounts onto Volvo Penta (VP) Part Number 3581053.  You could just purchase the extra pulley, VP Part Number 3581036, but you then could not increase the pulley size.
This pulley adapter was designed to mount to the VP pulley on model D2-55F Diesel Engine, allowing for a second alternator or Mobile Power unit add-on.
An add-on alternator, or Mobile Power (MEPS) unit will require this adapter, a larger pulley and mounting brackets to convert a standard diesel engine into a GenSet.  I have the full designs to convert a Volvo Penta D2-55F to GenSet, convening up to 7.5kW of electricity.  I can sell the entire kit so that the D2-55F Diesel will generate up to 7.5kW of power so you can quickly charge batteries, run AC units, etc.
This is a great option instead of installing a second diesel motor/GenSet. Advantages include:
1) 45 lbs. of add-on equipment versus 400 lbs with a separate GenSet.
2) ,000 cost instead of ,000 plus cost for a separate GenSet.
3) No added holes in your hull.
4) No added maintenance costs maintaining an extra diesel engine.
5) No extra diesel lines, no add'l exhaust line, no add'l raw water pump and water lines.
This listing is for the adapter plate for an extra pulley only.  For an additional alternator, you can select any pulley for the job.  For a MEPS unit, the pulley should be as large as will fit in your boat, possibly a 7" or 8" diameter pulley so that the motor runs at 1,000 RPM to generate power.  If you need the entire parts kit for this genset add-on (MEPS), please email me and I can advise the cost.
