  • Condition: Condition, very good overall with minor yet noticeable cosmetic issues scattered over all surfaces, consistent with normal road race use. Perfectly solid and fine in every mechanical consideration.

    Description

    Offering a beautifully-made 1 1/8" threaded full carbon-fiber road race fork for Scott Speedster, capable of fitting a very large frame.
    Beautifully robust and rigid yet still eerily lightweight at 428 grams as shown.
    For standard 9mm hollow axle and 100mm spacing.
    Carbon fiber steerer is about 8 1/2" (215mm) long. There is a somewhat rough but possibly usable crown race installed. At the other end, the steerer is fitted with a fine star-nut substitute that appears to be threaded in (see 2nd last image).
    MORE NOTES:
    -For recessed nut type brake mounting. Though the crown is very thick, know that the ledge for a sleeved nut is submerged quite deeply, meaning a standard-length bolt may actually be all that's needed.
    -Distance: from a midpoint between imagined dropout centers to the very ceiling of the crown (the place where a too-big tire would touch: about 341mm (about 13 7/16").
    ALSO INCLUDED: Some headset pieces-Scott and Ritchey, appropriate for use with this fork, including a second, much finer crown race (see final image).
