    Up for consideration, I have a lower unit that will fit 1989-2001 50-70 HP 3 CYLINDER MODELS. Taken from a 1997 50 HP model. The gear oil is dark without signs of water intrusion. No metal shavings were seen in the oil sample. Works fine. Part of the skeg broke off as seen in the pictures but it still works fine as is.
